A message written in large block letters on the far right-hand side of the map stsates : "Hiroshima Bombing/Aug. 6, 1945 8:15 a.m. This map was carried/on flight by Capt. Bob Lewis." Below that, a line in cursive writing reads: "Attested as true/Col. Robert A. Lewis."
